What is that makes black/white decor so appealing? Sophistication? Order? Simplicity?
Here are a couple of new arrivals at Addision/Dicus which may not do much to answer the question, but make us know why we love black and white.
Venus VS943 Blk Silver
According to maker, Deepak Khanna, the design is strictly home grown from India.
"This design Idea is very much India and in the old days Hindu married ladies use to make such kind of design pattern on the entrance of their house. It is more to welcome the good spirit and prosperity in the house and family. They use home-made colors and paint on the floor," said Khanna.
We took advantage of a splash of sunlight in the Tampa showroom to feature Venus VS943 Blk Silver along with a setting provided by Interiors Trading, our next door neighbor.
Melody
The white elements in ikat-based Melody pop because they are weaved with faux silk.
Before
We found this black-white themed setting at Interiors Trading and decided to install ikat underneith.
After
The rug really brings the setting together and makes it warmer as the rug gently counterbalances the linear qualities of the furniture.
If everything isn't black and white, I say, 'Why the hell not?'
