Before Addison/Dicus & Bailey, Wendy worked as an Interior Designer. One day she answered a call. It was Gary Dicus.
He asked if she had time to come to the Addison/Dicus showroom to discuss something.
"I had known Gary because along with Diane Simon, my design partner, I'd been to the Addison/Dicus Tampa Showroom many times, and I loved the place," she said.
He wanted to know if Wendy could come in and speak to him about taking a position in the showroom.
She grabbed the opportunity and never looked back.
That was 2008.
"It has really been an honor...to be part of this company for all these years. I love Addison/Dicus, I love the designers, I love everything about my work."
Now she is retiring and will surely embrace that new life with that same enthusiasm.
More Time
Wendy has twin granddaughters. She's looking forward to seeing more of them.

Here they are together in matching tops.
Grand parenting is one of the few things in life that is all it's cracked up to be.
Enjoying the Neighborhood
Wendy lives in a neighborhood where she has plenty of friends. She plans to participate in activities there that she has never had time for. Maybe she'll up her gardening game and join the local garden club. Maybe she'll play pickle ball. She will definitely hit the gym more often and not be pressured by time.
She has lots of travel dreams and want to make them come true.
And she's ready to just relax.
She deserves it.
Mike Bailey, president of Addison/Dicus & Bailey, said, “It has been and honor and privilege to work shoulder to shoulder with Wendy for the last 16 years. Her professional attitude and hard work are major reasons for the success of our company. Her retirement is well deserved and I wish her nothing but the best. Hopefully this isn’t goodbye but a 'see you soon' situation.”
We will miss Wendy a lot.
Hopefully, as Mike said, she will join us temporarily from time to time to fill in or help cover busy times of the year.
We wish you all the best, Wendy. Don't be a stranger!
